Three weeks of a beautiful naturalist journey in the diversity of the sometimes very steep and mountainous landscapes of Reunion Island. The weather was surprisingly mild for this time of year. This time, no erupting volcanoes but some very pleasant surprises, the morning chorus (bird choirs). They never last very long, 30 to 40 minutes, but they show that even without a large number of different species, the daybreak (between 4.15 and 5.00) is wonderful to listen to. About ten species of birds take part in these privileged moments. Then, insects and natural elements complete this discovery of the nature of a volcano. Thanks to Christophe, his daughter Lena and Barbara for sharing their experience and their enthusiasm for getting up very early.
