The Gaspé Peninsula takes its name from the word of the Micmac tribe Gespeg, which means "the end of the world". This peninsula in the Quebec region is bordered by the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south. The tormented relief of the Appalachian Mountains in the centre makes the Gaspé Peninsula a mountain in the sea. Three audio-naturalists, Fernand DEROUSSEN, André and Odile BOUCHER, were able to discover the prestigious sites of the peninsula, such as the unmissable Percé Rock, Bonaventure Island, populated by thousands of Northern Gannets, the Forillon National Park, and it is in the Gaspé National Park that we ended our stay. Here is a selection of the hours of recordings we made with the aim of showing you the great variety of animals and wilderness of this region in June. 65'57" long.
