My first trip to Buryatia on the shores of Lake Baikal dates back to June 2001 in the company of a naturalist friend Philippe and was a real adventure, as there were still only a few naturalists invited to Russia and it is thanks to the fervour of Viktor Dashanimaev, who has unfortunately passed away, to whom I owe this wonderful discovery. In 2011, I will be back on the same tracks and will find other rich atmospheres, but this time in a group of a dozen other naturalists (photographer, videographer, cartoonist and writer). I propose you to download 27 field recordings summarising my discoveries of the taiga and the Buryat steppe during these two incredible stays in contact with the great forest.
